Location and Date Update

Hello friends of class of 1989

looks like we have narrowed down a choice for a location and date. There has been much discussion on the location. The considerations were:

  • proximity to hotels
  • proximity to Stockbridge
  • Ease of set up and tear down
  • cost

After many email discussions, I think we are settling on Hankard Hills. Its close to hotels in both Chelsea and Jackson and close to Stockbridge for those who are staying home or at relatives/friends in town. It is also reasonable in cost and its easier to set up and take down.

August 1st happened to be available, which is nice as that is the date that had the most votes.

Again, we welcome feedback - please post a comment or feel free to contact us!

hope you are all well as the days get colder!

Best,

Amy Klinke

Location Update!

Hello Everyone,

The location of the reunion is up for discussion. After lengthy discussions with several members of our class, it was decided that to have the reunion in the Pole Barn might prove to not be economical or efficient. We are looking at several other options such as Hankard Hills, Hotels, and some Brew Pubs. The criteria we are discussing revolve around cost, proximity to hotels, proximity to other activities and ease of use.

Please stay tuned for further updates and please feel free to comment with questions concerns or ideas.

Thanks so much

The CG Lantis Pole Barn

Here are photos of the Pole Barn, the tractors will be removed and we will bring in tables, chairs, place for dancing and music - outside we were thinking of having things for kids to do during the day. Let us know what you think!

Polls

Hello Everyone,

So - there are two main possibilities for the location of our reunion. The goal is to keep it simple and to keep costs down.

CG Lantis has generously offered to let us his property in Stockbridge. This opportunity lends flexibility. There would not be a rental cost to use this property so it will make the ticket price of the reunion cheaper. This option would allow for an all day event where:

> 2-5:30pm: kids activities - picnic style

> 5:30pm -late: adult time

  • DJ/Ipod for dancing
  • Cook out possibly by Joe Showerman
  • casual/outdoor event
  • Pole Barn in case of inclement weather
  • Bon Fire
  • Camping on property
  • Beer/Wine provided

The other option of holding it at a Bar or Restaurant, like Hankard Hills has the opportunity of:

  • More formal event
  • catered dinner
  • cash bar
  • DJ/Ipod for dancing

Please vote on which option sounds the best to you! Also please let your other friends from the Class of 1989 know about the poll!

Also - please note that there will be a ticket cost for this event - but we will do our best to keep it as low as possible.

Connect

Hello Everyone!

So - I am trying to figure out how to give everyone access to post on here - but I am not that savvy -

So - please post comments with your email address or you can email me at: islandkid2@yahoo.com if you don't feel comfortable posting it in public. I am trying to create an email list to create the evite for the reunion.

I am holding a little survey on when and where to have the reunion - but I welcome any other thoughts that haven't occurred to me.

Please forward this website on to anyone you can think of!

I hope this finds you all well!
